Imetec, Precision Calf Feeding Robot: Core Efficiency Advantages

2026-03-10 811 Views

As a core equipment of its intelligent ranch "four-piece set", the imetec Precision Calf Feeding Robot relies on 25 years of R&D experience in intelligent ranch equipment and multiple patented technologies. With "unmanned, precise and efficient" as its core orientation, it can not only greatly improve calf feeding efficiency and reduce ranch operating costs, but also significantly optimize breeding benefits, and has become a core tool for large-scale calf farms to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Its core efficiency advantages are mainly reflected in the following four aspects.

Unmanned continuous operation completely breaks the time limit of manual feeding. Equipped with a high-performance lithium iron phosphate battery, the robot can work continuously and stably for 8-10 hours on a single charge. It automatically starts non-contact inductive charging when the power is low, requiring no manual on-duty throughout the process, truly realizing 24-hour uninterrupted feeding and completely breaking the cumbersome three-shift manual operation mode. Relying on laser SLAM + visual dual navigation technology, no modification to the existing cow house is required, the positioning accuracy is as high as ±5cm, and the obstacle avoidance response speed is less than 0.5 seconds. It can flexibly shuttle between calf islands and group pens, operate smoothly across sheds, adapt to the layout characteristics of various large-scale calf farms, and independently complete the entire feeding process without manual intervention.

Precise feeding is efficient and controllable, with dual advantages of feeding speed and measurement accuracy. The robot adopts RFID + visual rapid identification technology, which can accurately lock individual calves within 1 second. The feeding time per calf is only 10-15 seconds, the measurement accuracy error is controlled within ±2%, and the temperature of milk and feed can be accurately controlled at 38-40℃, perfectly meeting the physiological feeding needs of calves. In addition, the equipment supports 4-8 times a day of timed and quantitative feeding, and can automatically switch multiple formulas such as colostrum, regular milk and milk replacer according to the differences in calf age and weight, adapting to the nutritional needs of calves at different stages on demand. It effectively avoids the randomness of manual feeding, strictly controls the milk and feed waste rate at 3%-5%, which is much lower than the 8%-15% waste level of traditional manual feeding.

The efficiency of manual replacement is prominent, greatly reducing the labor cost of the ranch. A single Imetec Precision Calf Feeding Robot can efficiently serve 200-300 calves aged 0-6 months, directly replacing 3-5 full-time calf breeders, covering the entire process of milk feeding, equipment disinfection, and feeding data recording. Through the Taishan Yunhuirong APP, one manager can monitor the operation status of 5-8 robots at the same time, check feeding data and equipment working conditions in real time, and realize remote scheduling and precise management. It completely solves the industry pain points of difficult employment and high labor costs in calf feeding in large-scale ranches. According to estimates, a calf farm with 200 calves can save 150,000-250,000 yuan in labor costs every year.

Data empowerment management comprehensively improves the comprehensive breeding efficiency of the ranch. The robot can automatically record key data such as feed intake, feeding time, and health abnormalities of each calf, and automatically generate feeding curves and analysis reports without manual transcription, realizing full-process data traceability and analyzability of calf breeding. At the same time, after feeding, the equipment will automatically complete pipeline flushing and high-temperature disinfection, effectively reducing the risk of cross-infection, helping to increase the survival rate of calves to 96%-98% and the daily weight gain by 15%-25%, which can make calves weaned or slaughtered 10-15 days in advance, truly realizing the dual improvement of efficiency and benefits, and adapting to the efficient breeding needs of large-scale calf farms with 200-1000 calves.
